[Wakes up on a near by beach, he remembered tha the'd fallen asleep off duty. When he woke up there was no one around but a crazy little device. Starting to press buttons, something happens.]

Can you here me, crazy thing?

[Serah wakes up in Academia, she finds that her prophecy came true and she looks around finding no one. Taking the small device beside her, she plays with it until something happens.]

Where are you Noel, something horrible has happened...

[When she'd woke, it had been in familiar territory, a place she had been several times in her travels. Though instead of the usual silence she heard voices, and one she specifically knew.]

...Serah? Is that you?

[During playing and speaking into the device, she sees Lightning. Her eyes widen.]

Lightning! It is me! Where are you?

[She's moving, heading for the exit she vaguely knows the location of. If it was even still there...]

I should be asking you that, are you okay?

[Serah has a unsure look drape across her face.]

..Did you see what happened from Valhalla?

[The question brings her pause, and for a second the video stops shifting.]

....Yes.

I thought I was going to die...

Not everything looks at how it was..

[She pauses again, absently searching for a way to Serah, she's silent for several seconds before finally responding.]

No, but...I don't think this is the same time line.

...Lightning...[she whispers.]

I saw the future events and it went into Chaos. Is this the reason why it looks like this?

I don't know, Serah. Maybe, maybe this is something else entirely.

I can't...tell.

Me neither...

Where are you?

[She exhales sharply, crossing her arms.]

...This looks like Academia though.

Hm. Once I find my way out I'll come to you.

[Silence was met when she opened her eyes. An intake of breath, Zelda pinched the bridge of her nose, the sudden spell of sleep gone. Pushing herself up from the ground, she looked around and took in the desolation that had settled upon this place. Pillars askew, protruding from the ground like forgotten giants, marked the landscape.

This scenery brought to mind of the now ruined Temple of Time in the woods not far off Hyrule Castle. However, as ruined as it was, the temple could not compare to the vastness she now stood in. It was only now, as she took in her surroundings, did she realise a device was held in her hand. Curious, she turned it over and saw that it was a form of technology she had never seen before.

Even curiouser, she pressed one of the buttons and the thing illuminated, the glow of the screen relfected in her pupils.]

H-Hello..?

[Apollo was just day dreaming about his next case when he was all but lost! Yuck, these buildings and scenery were so dull. That's when he noticed his snazzy new phone! Playing with the buttons, he saw a pretty weird girl.]

HEY, ELF WOMAN.

Where's the party?

[An arm/hand move out of the frame as the video clicks on. Some of you might just recognize those bracelets... And the forearm wrap... And the hand too actually depending on how much attention you ever paid. Once it's out of the way though, the scenery that the video is aimed at, is a little bleak and will be undoubtedly familiar to anyone who's ever been to Oerba. The crystal dust is still covering the place for the most part and the dominant scenery displayed in the video is that of the steps leading down into the water.]

Vanille an' I are gone for a bit an' no one thinks t'dust the place for us? [Yup, it's that voice. You're right if you're guessing Fang, however, she still hasn't shown herself in the video yet. A disapproving noise is made before a low chuckle slips out.]

I'll be out this way for a bit still, got sum cie'th t'clean outta the place.

[It was almost a smack in the face to hear her voice, that usual sarcasm. Nonetheless it sparked some deep seated annoyance, or sadness. She couldn't place it and wouldn't bother, not at the moment. Now she was going to figure a way out of this dammed hovel she'd gotten herself in....and give Fang a piece of her mind.]

We didn't because we didn't know when you two where coming back.

[Most reasonable excuse, ever. She knew why they never got to cleaning it out, but she wasn't going to say right yet.]

Couldn't cum ova' 'ere one every ten years or so an' leave some fresh sheets, Light? [Yes, she's razzing you. Her voice has that tone to it.]

Pulsian tradition dictated leavin' new things in the temple where those in crystal stasis were every ten years an' their gifts were a lot betta' than sheets. [Yes, she just had to point that out, thank you very much.]

'Sides [The device shifts like it's being picked up and then suddenly drops, it sounds like Fang jumped off of something and you can guess she probably did by the sudden cloud of dust swooping up with a low landing type of grunt. There was a flash of blue sari and brown sandal before the camera is pointed down towards the ground again, being aimed at the dust.]

This is jus' bad for everyone.

[She set her jaw, her teeth grinding. Goddess this woman infuriated her sometimes.]

I couldn't. [The tone was as clipped as the words, and the camera drops away from her face, displaying her dismal...broken down surroundings. She was rather stuck, so, sorry about your lack of sheets or pretty trinkets, Fang.]

I'm coming to you. [Still more clipped words, but the scenery shifts and her boots can be heard clacking against the stone tile.]

[The video panned around the nearby parts of Oerba easily, as if Fang was letting people look around with her. A shambling cie'th could be seen not too far off in the distance.]

Think ya got more important places t'go first. [Fang remembers Light disappearing into thin air. Recalls watching Serah be upset that Light wasn't around and cursing Snow for running off. Her and Vanille really could see just about everything from that pillar.]

Go find ya sista' Light. I'll be 'ere. [The device is set down on something and it sounds like Fang's shifting about her gear.]

[She released a low hiss at the sight of the Cie'th. She wasn't surprised, but she wasn't happy about it either.]

I know, I'm going to. [Then she was going to get Fang, and they where going to talk...and things would move on from there. Maybe the others where here as well, somewhere...]

[The low creek of leather and swishing of the sari stops, the noise her hands make when her grip shifts on Kain's Lance can be heard.]

Good, then stop yappin' at me. I've got cie'th t'kill. [Fang's voice is more stern now, the communicator shifts around for a bit before it seems to be clipped to her belt.]

'Sides, sure ya got more impotant things t'do. [And now the direction that cie'th was in? Yup, Fang seems to be running in that direction.]

[She huffs, but she gets it.]

Fine, don't over do it. [And with one final glance at the communicator she shuts it off, going back to her search for a way out.]

[Vera is sitting somewhere in Steppe, her eyes are looking over the device. She'd not been tech savvy, when she saw a black-haired woman with a weird accent, she called out.]

.....Are we in the same place?

Dunno, your place look like this? [Fang continued to keep the video pointed out at the scenery of Oerba and not let it rest on herself.]

Kind of......there is a lot of grass.

[Vera point her device around, where one can see it's the Steppe of Pulse.]

[Eyes narrowed, brows furrowing together for a moment before Fang's face would finally appear on the communicator, trying to see if there were any hints as to where the girl was.... Oh.]

Ya on the Steppe. Gotta be careful, there's sum real beasts out there.

[ There's a lot of terrible things that can happen to a man. One of them is to wake up in the middle of nowhere with nothing but your clothes, and most importantly without your son. Well, there's that little device, but that's really no comfort.

It's only getting worst when you realize this place is actually the most deadly place in your world. Monsters fighting, more monsters fighting and wanting to eat you- Alright, not the moment to panic.

But wait, didn't the world ends a little bit earlier? At least it looked like it. ... ... So that'd be the afterlife? No way he's eating that. ]

What the hell is that...?

[She's off camera as it's been clipped to her belt and is hanging downward, but that blue sari and leather sandal/boots are in the shot and very familiar if Sazh bothers to look. There's a lot of movements and quick foot work happening along with random bits of crystal dust being kicked up. Fang recognizes that voice though, would recognize it anywhere.]

Well wouldn't ya know. Seems like 'alf the old team's 'ere. [A low grunt emanates forth, sounding like maybe Fang just took a hit from something before a swing of Kain's Lance zips through the video display and a shambling cie'th falls dead on the ground, within shot of the video.]

... Fang?

[ He'd recognize her voice anywhere as well; and he looks into the device as soon as he hears her voice. Well- Wait, wait just a minute, what the hell? wasn't she supposed to be like, er, crystallized or something? How could she even be here, speaking through that device?

And is she fighting... Cie'th? ... Half the old team? That doesn't make senses. None of that makes any sense. Maybe that's the afterlife after all. The bad side of it. Or maybe that's all just a big nightmare. Probably not. ]

You've got to be kiddin' me... What the hell?

[She'll continue to let the device stay off of her for the most part. However, being clipped to her belt it tends to sway back and forth showing off sections of leg, sari, boots and her lance as it does so.]

Not kiddin' at all. [She'll fall silent for a second, what he can't see is she's checking to make sure that no other cie'th are around to sneak attack her.]

You, Light, Serah an' me all seem t'have wound up 'ere. [She'll pause a moment.] Where ever 'ere is.

Serah? Light...? Wow wow wow, wait a sec', Light's here? You too? What is it, undead peoples day?

[ Yup, gotta be the afterlife. No other explanation. It's more logical for him and the others to have died than for them to come back to life. Alright, this still makes no sense and Fang doesn't seem to give a damn, but that's how Fang is. Figures. He guess she's fighting monsters of something Cieh'th like from what he sees. ]

Well, if ya ask me, here looks a lot like good old Pulse.

[ How swell, the afterlife is a Pulse-like plane. Whoever designed the universe probably had a wonderful sense of humor. ]

...Makes no sense.

Alive an' breathin'. [Crystalized does not equal dead Sazh, thank you very much. At his commentary about what the place looks like, her forward movement stops.]

Looks th' part yea. Doesn't feel it though. [That was the hard part to explain.]

It doesn't but don't think we got time t'make sense of it, not until we're all in one place again.

What daya mean by "doesn't feel it"?

[ ... He'd like, he'd even love to be able to be as "relaxed" as her. He just sighs though and nods. ]

Guess you've a point, but I don't see Dajh anywhere around and... I just hope we'll make sense of it soon enough.

[ As tempting as the idea is, he doesn't want to consider this to be the after-life. Not yet. Would it be only to have the hope his son is alive. ]

Sumthin's off. [Damn it Sazh, she can't explain it. Can't you tell? Light picked up on it.]

Sure we'll make sense of sumthin'. [Not even a flinch even though... She's none too happy on the inside right now.]
